Frederick Christian Abram Foy, a native Houstonian, was born directly into the world of music. Ironically, his mother went into labor while playing an organ during a Sunday morning service in December of 1984. Today, he is known as an entrepreneur, music composer, psalmist, bass guitarist, actor, minister and public speaker.
Music has always been an intricate part of Frederick’s existence. From a young child, all the way through adulthood, he and his family served as the choir for his late father's (Pastor Floyd Foy) church. In high school, Frederick was a member of multiple choirs which performed classical, Broadway and traditional gospel music in various languages. In 2003, while attending college on an athletic scholarship at Texas Southern University, Frederick competed in an all-male talent show in which he took 2nd place. In 2005, Frederick recorded with Gospel recording artist Gary Mayes and Nu Era.
Frederick's music interest eventually expanded into acting. Following this interest, he took multiple courses in runway modeling and acting at The John Robert Powers School where he eventually graduated with hopes of pursuing a career under bright lights.
This launched Frederick’s journey as an actor, singer and song writer in many local gospel stage plays. He has had the pleasure of performing on the stages of various historical venues such as Houston’s Ensemble Theater and Beaumont’s Jefferson Theater.
In 2009, Frederick had the opportunity of playing the lead role in the Working Together As One production of “Everybody’s Man” on the stage of the renowned Wortham Theater Center in Houston’s prominent downtown theatre district.
In 2010, Frederick accepted his calling into ministry and currently serves as the Praise and Worship leader at Breath of Life International Ministries in Deer Park, Texas. He is also the founder of the production company “Frederick Foy Music.” His music and sound are inspired by the mysteries of the scriptures, and how they fuel his passion to make set-apart music for believers and those that are interested in broadening their relationship with the heavenly Father. In September 2019, Frederick released his first single entitled “Hear Me Roar” which is now available for download and streaming via various major music streaming platforms.
He is the proud husband of Cassandra Foy, and father of Nehemiah Foy. Together they operate as a team, building the kingdom and sharing the gospel through the arts and every opportunity as they are so lead by the Holy Spirit.
